We offer two membership tiers designed to meet you wherever you are. Most members begin as Observers, engaging with the community and exploring opportunities at their own pace. Investing Membership is available at any time for those who are ready to participate in deals.

Investor Membership
Investor Membership is designed for members who are ready to engage actively with deal flow, participate in diligence discussions, and invest selectively in opportunities that interest them. You choose what to engage with and when. There are no commitments beyond the annual membership fee and no obligation to participate in any individual offering.
Annual Investor Membership Fee: $1,350
The annual fee supports the infrastructure required to source, evaluate, and administer investments, including rigorous venture-level diligence, coordinated expert review, and special purpose vehicle (SPV) formation and management. Participation in individual offerings is entirely elective.
Carried Interest
Each investment is structured as a standalone SPV. In keeping with established venture investment practice, a 20% carried interest on net profits applies, payable only upon realized gains. There are no annual management fees at the SPV level. Our principals participate in returns only when members realize them.
Observer Membership
We believe the best investment decisions are informed ones. Observer Membership provides meaningful access to deal flow, diligence, and community, whether you are new to early-stage investing, new to ophthalmology as an asset class, or simply want to experience how EyeSci Angels works before deciding how to participate.
There is no fee, no obligation, and no expectation to upgrade on any particular timeline.
How Investments Are Structured
Each investment at EyeSci Angels is made through a special purpose vehicle (SPV), a standalone legal entity formed specifically for that opportunity. This structure streamlines cap tables for founders, consolidates reporting for investors, and eliminates the administrative friction that often accompanies early-stage investing.
Each SPV is independent. Participating in one creates no obligation to participate in any other. Members invest selectively, on their own timeline, based on their own judgment.
Typical investment minimums are approximately $10,000 per offering, though this may vary by round.
Follow-On and Co-Investment Opportunities
As portfolio companies achieve milestones and reduce development risk, EyeSci Angels may offer members the opportunity to invest in subsequent rounds. By the time these opportunities are offered, members of the initial round already know the team, the technology, and the market dynamics, making for a considerably more informed second decision.
Allocation in follow-on rounds will generally prioritize existing participants, with capacity for additional members when available.
